NEW WORKS By RACHEL PEDRANA | Showing from Thursday, 08th May 2025, Online Exhibition - coinciding with The Other Art Fair Sydney | 8-11 May, 2025.
Rachel’s creative mission is to challenge the perception that recycled materials are inferior or lack value. By transforming discarded textiles into luxurious, visually striking artworks, she redefines waste as a medium of artistic excellence—demonstrating that sustainability and high design can seamlessly coexist within the fast fashion narrative.
Her designs are built from symbolic geometric shapes, lines, and patterns. When interwoven with recycled textile fibers, these elements become part of a powerful storytelling experience—one that is emotive, layered, and deeply intentional. Through this visual language, Rachel invites viewers to look beyond the surface and engage with the deeper meaning of each piece.
Rachel works primarily with recycled textile fibers, sustainably sourced timber, and eco-friendly vegan acrylics, inks, and aerosols. Every material is a conscious choice, and each artwork is both a creative expression and a testament to her commitment to environmental responsibility.
Proudly represented by McCarthy Gallery in Australia.
